Ephrata Music Theory

The brothers and sisters of Ephrata developed a music theory system that was unique and unorthodox. They outlined their ideas on harmony and composition in a treatise with accompanying modal charts at the front of the Ephrata Codex. Bach and Herbert are working on a new translation of the treatise that will help to elucidate the Ephrata music theory system. Herbert previously wrote about Ephrata music theory in 2018 in Chapter 3 of his dissertation.
